Innofactor oy

	Information security

We use the latest encryption technologies, data security programs and updates to guarantee the security of our services. Users are given individual usernames and passwords. SSL-encryption technology is used whenever confidential information, such as data related to user identification, is being handled. This is why we have an official SSL certificate. Our servers use the latest virus protection software.

Our servers are located in a guarded room, with a fixed secure connection to the security company’s alarm control centre. The room also has an uninterrupted power supply. Backup copies are made daily and are stored in a secure place. Our development environment is a physically isolated intranet.

Some facts about information security

Security divisions

Did you know that data security is a lot more than just encryption? Security can be divided up as follows

  • personnel security, such as inspections as well as non-disclosure agreements
  • data: classifying, storing (especially at home) and transferring (especially via e-mail)
  • the physical security of our facilities, such as controlling security passes and visitors, as well as alarms and guards
  • the security of our software solutions
  • the security of personal workstations
  • network and server security
  • what to do in the event of a security breach

The most common security risks

Generally the most common security risks are

  • papers left in the wrong places
  • data on the hard drives of workstations
  • the use of unsecured e-mail
  • e-mails sent out by viruses
  • the destruction or inaccessibility of data

Innofactor's solution

Our centralised system is based on Internet-technology where data is only stored electronically in an isolated server environment, which has secure access and is backed up regularly.
